Copplestone Castings Gandalf

My favorite Gandalf model is the one sculpted by Mark Copplestone. Naturally, he isn't an officially sanctioned LOTR model, so maybe I should just call him "Generic Grey Wizard." I don't believe Copplestone Castings is selling this set anymore, but he was part of a group of four wizards. I painted and sold two (now I wish I hadn't).

As you can see I have access to a much nicer camera. Click the above image for a larger version. It's almost a detriment, because it picks up every bit of lint and dust on my models!

Thanks! Copplestone sculpts 10mm LOTR-style fantasy figs too. I think they are intended to play Warmaster. Too tiny for me, but nicely done.

Yeah, nicely done Andrew!

I have some of the Copplestone halflings and kick myself for not having picked up that pack of wizards...

I must say that this Gandalf is far more awesome than the crap GW ones directly from the movies. This one has character, the Gw ones are just.. Well, photo copies Ian McKellens.

Thanks dudes. If you look in Mirliton's fantasy catalog under "humans" you can find alternate versions of some of Copplestone's wizards. http://www.mirliton.it/
They sell Grenadiers old fantasy models, many of which were sculpted by Mark.

Great painting. And I think he has a beard you could loose a badger in as an episode of "Black adder II" once said.

I know it's old, but I gotta say it: I love the "I am just THIS side of kicking your ass" expression on this figure's face!
