Real life terrain

Today I went for a hike on the Anne U. White Trail in Boulder County, CO. I thought I'd post a few pics of the real life terrain. Watch out for the Mountain Lions. They have a Quality 3+, Combat 3, and feature the Forester trait in their special rules.

Planning on building anything like this? I love the rocky slope.

I have a tone of pine bark laying around. I wonder if I layered it just right if I could achieve that effect?

No plans, I just thought it looked cool. I'll bet the bark would work well for the rock effect.

I am working on some rocky groundmarkers and jutting rock spars using bark for scatter terrain but nothing as nifty as a hillside.

Andrew, those Trolls are amazing!!!! I love the colour you've used for the skin. Really effective!

Thanks! I must confess that I followed GW's painting instruction for their ogres.

Hey, if it works it works.
The Ogre Kingdoms figs are some of my favorite plastics to come out from GW in a while and very versatile for use in other games/genres.
