Here are some villagers from Old Glory Miniatures' Revolting Peasants set. Many of the peasants aren't revolting at all, rather they seem to be going about their daily business.
I sold these fine fellows on eBay last year. (The tipsy chap on the right is from Mega Miniatures)

You know, Old Glory often looks kind of rough in the raw but they do tend to paint up nicely enough.

I agree. The sculpting is pretty rough, but after painting many end up looking like they have "character," rather than just looking bad.
As a side note, I sometimes find that some manufacturers have "too much" detail and can be difficult to paint up, especially in large numbers. This is another area where Old Glory can be a strength.
